Pricing & refund policy

How Scout is priced, and how refunds work.

How Scout is priced

Scout has three self-serve plans, priced by how many people you gather each week and billed monthly or annually:

  • Under 250: $69/month, or $690/year
  • 250 to 750: $99/month, or $990/year
  • 750 to 2,000: $199/month, or $1,990/year

The annual price is ten months' price for twelve months. A year on the Under 250 plan is $690 instead of the $828 that twelve monthly charges come to. The toggle above the plans on the pricing page switches between Monthly and Annually, and the price on every card changes with it.

Above 2,000 a week, pricing is custom and comes with implementation help. Book a demo and we'll talk through what fits.

What every plan includes

Every plan is the whole product: people, groups, teams, services, the volunteer schedule, check-in, giving, forms, workflows, lists, reports, announcements, the member app, and the intelligence layer. The band sets what you pay for the size of your church. It gates no features.

There are no per-user fees. Staff, volunteers, and everyone in your directory are unlimited.

Giving runs on Stripe Connect, and Scout takes no cut of a gift. You pay the payment processor's fees and nothing beyond them. Get the 2.2% nonprofit rate covers what those fees are and how a 501(c)(3) lowers them.

Moving between monthly and annual

Scout has no control for changing the billing interval, so pick it on the pricing page before you sign up if you can. To move between monthly and annual afterward, email support@scout.church and we'll switch you over.

Moving between bands is self-serve through the Stripe portal. Switching plans walks through it.

Trial

Every new church gets 30 days free. A card is required to start the trial: signup ends on Stripe's checkout page, where you enter the card, and Stripe holds it from there. Nothing is charged during the 30 days. On day 31 the card is charged for the first month, or for the full year if you chose annual.

Scout tells you before that charge lands. With a week left, a banner appears across the top of the dashboard reading Trial ends in and the number of days remaining, with a Manage billing link for the owner. Dismissing the banner clears it for the day, and it returns tomorrow. Three days out, we email the owner, subject Your Scout trial ends in 3 days, naming the end date and the amount.

Cancel any time during the trial and you aren't charged at all. Go to Settings → Billing and click Cancel subscription, the second button in the Manage your subscription card. Both that button and the billing page are owner-only. Canceling your subscription covers what happens after.

Refund policy

Cancel anytime. We won't charge you again after you cancel. We don't refund the current month. If Scout isn't working for your church, email support@scout.church within 14 days of any charge and we'll make it right.

That paragraph is the promise printed on the pricing page, word for word. Tell us within two weeks of a charge and we'll make it right.

Outside that window, subscription fees are non-refundable. We don't pro-rate unused time, a mid-term move down a band, or features you didn't use. Section 7.6 of the Terms of Service is the governing text.

A billing error is a separate matter from a refund. If you were charged twice, or charged after canceling, contact us within 60 days and we'll investigate.

To change the card a charge runs on, see Updating your card.
