I built Scout while I was pastoring, with no investors, so giving, serving, participation, and groups could live in the same system. That puts the whole life of a church in one picture.
The shortage isn’t the problem.
Every church I’ve ever talked to feels like they have some kind of shortage: not enough volunteers, not enough givers, not enough leaders, not enough hands.
Eventually I realized the shortage is a symptom. The actual problem is that most churches aren’t investing in, caring for, or developing the people they already have.
The software we use is good at running the building, and the people it exists for go unnoticed.
Scout is the tool I wished I had as a pastor: the one that could read across the whole life of a church and tell me what I was missing, so I built it.

Noticing runs in both directions.
The same reading that catches a quiet exit also catches a raised hand. Tyler updates his About Me in the member app: open to kids ministry, happy to host. The next time a kids slot opens, he is one of the names Scout suggests, because he told his church what he was open to and something was listening.
The volunteers and leaders most churches are praying for are usually already in the room. I built Scout so the raised hands get noticed as reliably as the quiet exits.
