Help/Billing
Canceling your subscription
Cancel anytime — what happens after, and how to come back.
You can cancel any time, no email required. Here's what cancellation does and doesn't do.
How to cancel
Go to Settings → Billing, click Manage billing to open the Stripe Customer Portal, then click Cancel subscription. Confirm.
What happens after
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. So if you cancel on the 15th and your billing date is the 1st, you keep full access until the 1st of next month. After that, your church's data goes into a paywall state — no one can sign in to the dashboard except to reactivate.
What we don't do
We don't refund the current month. Even if you cancel an hour after a charge, that month is yours. See Pricing & refund policy for the exception.
We don't auto-delete your data. Your church's records stay in Scout for at least 90 days after the period ends. If you want to come back, just reactivate from the same email — every person, every gift, every history is still there. After 90 days, we may purge — email support@scout.church if you need that window extended.
Coming back
Sign in with the same email. The dashboard will route you to a "reactivate" screen. Pick a plan, add a card, and you're running again in under a minute.
Still need help?
Email support@scout.church and we'll get back within one business day.
