I can't log in

Magic-link delivery, expired links, and switching accounts.

Scout uses magic links — you type your email, we send a link, you click it, you're in. No password to remember and no password to lose. But sometimes the link doesn't arrive, or it doesn't work. Here's how to fix the common cases.

The link didn't arrive

Wait a minute first; sometimes email gateways slow it down. Then check spam. Sender is auth@scout.church (or noreply@scout.church on legacy invites).

If it's not in spam either, your church's email provider may be blocking us. Have an admin allowlist scout.church and request a fresh link.

The link expired

Magic links last 24 hours. After that, request a new one — same flow, same email.

"I clicked the link but it logged me in as someone else"

This happens when you're already signed in to another Scout account in the same browser. Sign out first (top-right avatar → Sign out), then click the link again.

"I get a 'church not found' page"

Your account isn't linked to a church. This usually means an invite was sent to the wrong address, or you signed up but never finished setup. Email support@scout.church with your email and the church name and we'll wire you up.

Switching accounts

If you're a staff member at more than one church (consultants, multi-site planters), use the Switch account option in the avatar menu. Scout supports being a member of multiple churches with one email.
